We fast in hopes the God will hearken His Ear to our supplications, But are we in fact trying to Force the Hand of God? Or is there some other result or posture we must have for fasting?

Nice Site!
I do not think that we are trying to force God's hand when we fast. There are so many occasions in the Bible when people fasted ..Jesus (40 days) Daniel and Esther to name a few. God always hears us..but I believe that when we fast we have an even greater connection to God...because we so desperately want to hear from him that we are willing to give up natural human desires. I always feel such power when I fast .
