Sackcloth and Ashes

What do you do when you fast? Do you watch Tv surf the internet or indulge in a good novel? I know I sometimes find myself doing things that are not beneficial to my fast. We as Christians have to realize a fast without prayer is non profitable. When we fast we should also be spending time with God (reading our word and praying) The fast isto draw you closer to God so while you are fasting yuo should also find the time to do the things of God. What do you do when you fast?

When I fast and try to do my daily duties but make a point to put more effort in praying than normal, reading my bible more than normal. and meditation.
I fast with the goal of something happing, while praying on days when I fast I ask God to reveal himself to me. and than I sit quietly in meditation ans listen for what God has to say. if I don't hear an answer I meditate more pray more, and I read more of the bible.
